Prerequisites: Bronze Medallion

This course uses the Canadian Life Saving Manual (CLSM)
Begins the transition from lifesaving to lifeguarding and prepares candidates for responsibilities as assistant lifeguards. Candidates strengthen and expand their lifesaving skills and begin to apply the principles and techniques of active surveillance in aquatic facilities. Emphasis is on the importance of teamwork and communication in preventing and responding to aquatic emergencies. Successful candidates will also receive a Standard First Aid Certification. Bronze Cross is the prerequisite for the National Lifeguard Course.

Pool: 9am - 1pm & Classroom: 2pm - 5pm
