Course Details- By the end of this course, students will be able to: • Identify and explain the key mechanical and electronic components of the Axial SCX30 • Operate a 2.4GHz radio transmitter with precision and confidence • Apply basic engineering concepts — 4WD, weight distribution, suspension — in a hands-on context • Design and build a scale crawling obstacle course as a team • Perform routine maintenance tasks including battery care, cleaning, and pre-run inspection • Compete respectfully in a friendly club-style crawling competition • Connect RC hobby skills to real-world careers in engineering, design, and robotics Course Instructor- Mr. D Instructor Bio- I have been passionate about RC cars since the age of nine, when I received my first model a Tamiya Grasshopper. From that moment, my interest in the hobby continued to grow, evolving into a deep and lasting commitment. Over the years, I have gained extensive experience in multiple areas of the RC car community. I have helped organize and run large-scale events that attracted over 1,000 attendees of all ages. As a competitor, I have raced at a high level and achieved notable placements. In addition, I have served as an announcer for RC races at both local and major competitive events. Beyond competition and event management, I take great pride in sharing my passion for RC cars with others. I enjoy introducing newcomers to the hobby, highlighting not only the excitement and enjoyment it offers, but also the valuable skills it helps develop, such as problem-solving, mechanics, and perseverance.
