Garden in the Parks at South Park with Penn State Extension Master Gardeners of Allegheny County

Join us Saturday, August 15th for a fun day of gardens, activities, information and more! This event is the highlight of the season for the South Park Learning Garden. The theme this year is "Gardening is for the Birds and the Bees!" Speakers will present on a variety of topics, including native pollinator plants, integrated pest management, the importance of urban beehives supporting our struggling bee population and bird focused conservation practices. Through research, education, and community science, these efforts create healthier ecosystems for all. We will have a rock painting table for the future budding master gardeners attending with their families as well as Penn State Creamery ice cream for one and all! The gardens will be in full bloom and Master Gardners will be on site to guide you through the various garden areas and answer questions. No registration is required. We hope to see you there!
