Join General Manager and DJ Tom Hamilton, DJ Earl Boyd (a.k.a.“Jitterbug Jimmy”), and Programmer Tim Smith for this one-night informational session. Participants will learn what it is like to be a guest disc jockey at HooSkow Radio WXNZ, 98.1 FM. The presenters will begin with some history and technical aspects of radio; they will then provide an overview of the studio equipment and discuss the process of producing a show on air. Participants who are interested in taking it to the next level can schedule an individual session with Jitterbug Jimmy so that they can then produce and broadcast their own fifteen-minute program on WXNZ. Each participant is asked to bring a $10.00 donation to WXNZ, part of the non-profit Wesserunsett Arts Council dedicated to cultivating creativity and culture in Somerset County.
