This is an enrichment course for kids with the desire to help out their community but might not know where to start! Together, we'll explore creative and fun ways to be a helpful member of your household, neighborhood, city, and the world! We'll talk about what causes matter to each of us, and find ways to support them. Each week, the students will be asked to do something nice for someone other than themselves, without expecting anything in return, and share that good deed with the others. Then, we will learn about a local organization, what they do for the community, and ways they need help! Last but not least, we will do a related fun activity to do our part. This class is led by Yolanda Hong, Villa's Kitchen Assistant and Process Improvement Specialist. Yolanda frequently volunteers at various Seattle based organisations.
