Description
1 in 4 people 65+ fall each year and the incidence was predicted to be 1 in 3 in 2025. In 2023, 41,400 individuals aged 65+ died secondary to preventable falls. Falls are the leading cause of injury for those 65+. Our presenter, a Physical Therapist with Barrows Neurological Institute in Phoenix, brings a wealth of knowledge and clinical experience to this topic. Lori Brickner works daily with adults of all ages and their families to maximize safety, independence, and quality of life. This year, Ms. Brickner was voted as Physical Therapist of the Year for St. Joesph's Hospital and Medical Center. We hope to increase awareness of potential risks and strategies to minimize falls and risk of injury, especially for our seniors.
