In this class, you will learn the basic principles of value and composition based on various photos. Graphite, charcoal, and ink will be used in class, but adding color will be encouraged. You will have the opportunity to explore the following techniques including cross-hatching, shading and blending, blind contour drawing and gesture drawing. Meditative exercises will help minimize inhibitions and fears associated with the creative process.
