This one-hour tour features the best of Dunstan Cemetery, which began in the 1700s as a community-managed burial patch and later became Scarborough’s first public cemetery in the 1870s. Cemetery historian Ron Romano will guide us to a rare metal grave “stone” and visit the fascinating Paupers’ Field, the final resting place of dozens of the town’s disadvantaged people where a memorial stone was placed earlier this year.
