Note: This is a four day week due to the July 4th holiday. All the fun of Coastal Camp, taken to the next level for our older campers! This program is designed to further the Leaders-in-Training as environmental stewards, activists, educators and enthusiasts. LITs will have the opportunity to plan hikes, lead team building activities and learn all about local environmental problems and solutions. This program is designed to build skills, create memories, and foster a love for nature that will last a lifetime. LITs will also participate in some NatureBridge favorites, ramped up to suit the age group. They’ll do a challenge hike, dive deep into our lab spaces, and even get a chance to visit the Marine Mammal Center! On Wednesday 7/1, LITs will do a two hour kayaking trip in the Richardson Bay! The rest of the day away from the Headlands will be spent exploring the Bay Model and playing at Schoonmaker Beach. This excursion is often a highlight for our campers, and an unforgettable day of memories for campers & staff alike!
