Learn about the plants, animals, and history of the Headlands at Junior Rangers week! Our campers will learn how to use natural and outdoor resources to become more confident on the trails. We’ll visit the military batteries, and learn about the relationship between indigenous land use, military history, and current National Park practices. Junior Rangers camp is the perfect camp for the kids who love plants and animals, hiking through all the trails of the Headlands, and learning about what makes this area so special. Our 3rd - 6th grade campers will get to take a tour of the Headlands stables and meet the horses that call this area home! They’ll learn from real NPS rangers, help with projects at the Native Plant nursery, and even check out a Nike missile site!
