Note: This is a four day session due to the 4th of July holiday. Budding artists and nature enthusiasts alike will love Art & Adventure week at Coastal Camp! Campers will create fun art projects with natural materials and MOOP (matter out of place) found around the park. They’ll learn to build natural shelters, master the basics of wilderness first aid, and learn how to safely spend time in the outdoors. Campers will even practice identifying wild edible plants, and the bravest campers can even give them a taste! Through a combination of science and storytelling, campers will find a deep connection to the natural world and the land stewards that came before us. On Wednesdays of Art & Adventure weeks, we will have a special visitor — Alicia Retes from the Marin Museum of the American Indian! Alicia will tell an exciting tale of three sisters using giant puppets made from natural materials!
