Description

At Santa Monica Swim Center, we integrate comprehensive online learning with hands-on class instruction, demonstration, and practice designed for individuals aged 16 and older aspiring to become Swim Instructors.

All participants must have access to the Internet. Students must attend all classes to pass the course, complete all online segments and turn in weekly progress reports. Students must pass all skills tests and score 80% or higher on the written exam.
Prerequisites for Entry:

• Must be 16 years and older to participate.
• Swim 25 yards of each stroke including:
• Front Crawl
• Back Crawl
• Breaststroke
• Elementary Backstroke
• Sidestroke
• Swim 15 yards of Butterfly.
• Maintain position on back for 1 minute in deep water.
• Tread water for 1 minute.
