Wellness and Culture ( Block 3 of 3)

A welcoming Spanish experience designed for adults who want to practice the language while exploring wellness, culture, creativity, and community.

Each class begins with a relaxed conversation circle where participants practice useful Spanish vocabulary and expressions while enjoying a warm and social atmosphere. Classes then continue with a hands-on wellness or cultural experience that may include mindfulness and breathing, gardening, watercolor or art, gentle movement, Latin dance, simple cooking, or other creative activities.

Rather than focusing on a traditional grammar lesson, participants experience Spanish through meaningful real-life activities that encourage conversation, connection, and confidence.

Activities may vary each week and may occasionally feature guest instructors or community members who share their knowledge and cultural traditions.

All Spanish levels are welcome. Activities and conversation are adapted so participants can engage at their own comfort level.

• Material Fee: $30 cash material fee is due to the instructor on the first day of class.

REFUNDS/TRANSFERS - A $15.00 processing fee applies for each activity session refunded. Refunds will be prorated. Refund/transfer requests must be emailed to the Community Classes & Camps office at community.classes@santamonica.gov. Refunds will be issued only if requested within one day after the first class meeting. Material fees are not discountable and are nonrefundable.

REFUNDS FOR DUPLICATE/MULTIPLE ENROLLMENTS resulting from multiple registration submissions (at one or more offices or via online registration) will be subject to a $15.00 processing fee for each activity session refunded.

CANCELLED CLASSES: Makeups will not be offered for classes missed by the student. Programs are subject to cancellation if minimum enrollment is not met.
