Description

This course is designed for students who are completely new to Spanish and would like a gentle introduction to the language before continuing into the beginner sequence. Students focus on basic vocabulary, greetings, everyday expressions, and the Spanish alphabet, with special attention to pronunciation and listening skills. Through songs, simple dialogues, guided practice, and interactive activities, students begin to recognize and produce Spanish sounds while building confidence speaking the language.

The course emphasizes a supportive and communicative environment that prepares students for Spanish for Beginners A.

Please bring:

• A notebook and a pen.
• Material Fee ( $30.00) - Paid to the instructor on the first day of class.

REFUNDS/TRANSFERS - A $15.00 processing fee applies for each activity session refunded. Refunds will be prorated. Refund/transfer requests must be emailed to the Community Classes & Camps office at community.classes@santamonica.gov. Refunds will be issued only if requested within one day after the first class meeting. Material fees are not discountable and are nonrefundable.

REFUNDS FOR DUPLICATE/MULTIPLE ENROLLMENTS resulting from multiple registration submissions (at one or more offices or via online registration) will be subject to a $15.00 processing fee for each activity session refunded.

CANCELLED CLASSES: Makeups will not be offered for classes missed by the student. Programs are subject to cancellation if minimum enrollment is not met.
