About this event
Description
This interactive, welcoming series uses the tools of improv theater—like play, spontaneity, and "yes, and"—to build real-life skills for communication, confidence, and connection. No acting or comedy experience is needed. Through guided games and group activities, participants explore how improv principles can help them listen more fully, respond more flexibly, and thrive in daily life, even when things don’t go as planned.Whether you're looking to speak up more, connect with others, or simply have fun in a judgment-free space, this series offers something for everyone.Or Sign Up For Individual Classes:
Class 1: Introduction to Applied Improv- 03/03/26Discover how improvisation can empower you in daily life. This opening session offers a fun, low-pressure introduction to the key themes of the series: communication, collaboration, creativity, confidence, and adapting to uncertainty. You'll experience the joy of spontaneous play while learning how these skills can boost your well-being, strengthen relationships, and help you respond skillfully in everyday situations.
Class 2: Communication- 03/10/26Say what you mean—and really hear what others are saying. Explore active listening, nonverbal cues, and clear, compassionate expression through improv games that focus on presence, response, and connection. Learn how to speak up with clarity and listen with intention.
Class 3: Collaboration- 03/17/26Work together without a script. This session uses improv to build trust, shared focus, and the ability to build on others' ideas. Participants experience what it means to truly co-create—whether solving problems, planning together, or supporting someone in the spotlight.
Class 4: Creativity- 03/24/26Unlock your creative spark—even if you think you’re not creative. Tap into your imagination and learn to generate ideas without overthinking. Improv exercises remove the pressure to “get it right,” helping you rediscover play and originality in a supportive environment.
Class 5: Confidence- 3/31/26Step into the unknown—and feel good doing it. Improv strengthens your ability to take risks, recover from mistakes, and trust your instincts. In this session, you'll practice staying grounded under pressure and using humor and resilience to build self-assurance.
Class 6: Adapting to Uncertainty- 4/7/26Life doesn’t follow a script—improv helps you respond with grace. This final session focuses on flexibility, problem-solving, and staying centered in moments of change or surprise. You'll learn tools to embrace uncertainty and move forward with curiosity and courage.
