Through walking field trips to downtown murals and visits to local museums, you'll uncover the stories behind works created to challenge injustice and celebrate community. You'll learn to look at public art with fresh eyes, discovering meaning in pieces you may have passed a hundred times before. The week ends with you as the artist. You'll design and create an original piece supporting a social justice cause you care about—adding your voice to a tradition as old as art itself.
