Description Studio Art is designed to investigate and develop students’ drawing, painting, and printmaking skill-sets. Students explore traditional and contemporary methods of art making incorporating various media. The course focuses heavily on the works of contemporary artists, but references art historical pieces. In addition, the class follows thematic threads woven through time and cultures. This course is based upon individual expression, historical perspective, and current trends as a vehicle of communication. This course meets the UC A-G criteria for a Visual and Fine Arts credit.
