USF Masters is a competitive and meet-focused program. We participate in a variety of pool meets, three regional championships, and numerous open water events each year. With 36 Pacific Championships, USF has a long tradition of showing up, supporting each other, and having fun together. Competing both individually and in relays keeps us motivated, builds community, and has been part of the team’s identity since our founding in 1989. If competing in meets does not interest you or does not align with your goals, USF Masters may not be the best fit. Other San Francisco masters programs such as the YMCA, Bay Club, Tsunami, and others offer coached practices without a meet-participation expectation.
