Successful completion of this course will result in the certification required for lifeguarding at swimming pools in the State of California. This Red Cross course will provide training in Lifeguarding, CPR and First Aid. Each participant must pass the swim test on the first night. You must be at least 16 years or older. Classes are taught both in and out of the water.

*Minimum of 3 participants needed for class to take place if not, class will be cancelled.

HOW TO REGISTER:
(1st) Attend a Pre-Course swim test to qualify as a candidate for training. Test date for Class #1 is February 14th; Test date for Class #2 is March 21st; Test date for Class #3 is April 11th; Test date for Class #4 is April 25th. All swim test dates starting at 9:00am-11:00am. Must bring a swimsuit and towel (NO GOGGLES). Pool location: TBA.
ATTN SBCUSD STUDENTS: You must bring proof of current enrollment as a student in the SBCUSD (ie. current Student ID card) on the day of testing to show the swim instructor in order to have fees waived.
(2nd) Upon successful completion of the swim test; Non-SBCUSD Students must pay the registration fee of $175.00 on-line or at the Parks & Recreation main office. **SBCUSD Students must register at the PRCSD main office & must bring proof of current SBCUSD enrollment (ie. school ID) to the main office in order to qualify for the no cost registration**
