Many kinds of folk dances contribute to a Traditional New England Barn Dance–social events with simple dances, lots of interaction, and a focus on community and fun. Join us and dance to various music, including old-time, French Canadian, Celtic, and International. Dances are taught in a "walkthrough" manner before we add music. Come with or without a partner - you will dance with different people over the course of the session. Please wear comfortable clothes and soft-soled shoes, and bring a water bottle. No prior experience needed - all dance levels welcome! Great for date or girl’s night fun! Registration closes at noon on 10/9. Patricia Campbell has over 30 years of expertise instructing and directing a wide range of dancing styles, including traditional square dance, international folk dance, contra-style, historical dance, and more for families, senior centers, and community organizations. She has had introductory teacher training in Dance For PD and Agile Aging and over 10 years of experience leading weekly dances at a senior center in CT. Patricia currently hosts a weekly Zoom session called DanceTogether...Apart.
