10 am     Arrive at Paleo Preserve (on the grounds of Camp Bayou Nature Preserve)  10:00- 10:30     Welcome, bathroom break if needed &  fossil presentation (age appropriate) 10:30-10:55      Tour both museums and outside display 10:55-11:30       Fossil hunt (everyone hunts in the pit at the same time) The cost is $7 per fossil hunter, which are usually the youth, but anyone can hunt!  We provide the tools to hunt and the bag to take home your fossils. There is a small gift store with reasonably priced items but I encourage waiting to shop until after hunting because one may find what they wanted to buy!  There are picnic tables if you would like to have lunch after the field trip.  There are canopies over some areas of the fossil pit but bring sunscreen!
