About this event
Bring your imagination to life! Acting for the Stage is an exciting 12-week adventure designed for 3rd through 5th graders who are ready to explore the magic of live performance in a fun, active, and supportive environment. In this hour-long weekly class, young actors will discover the foundational tools needed to perform confidently on stage. Through engaging theater games, creative improvisation, and short scene work, students will learn how to build unique characters, project their voices, use expressive body language, and work together as a strong ensemble. The class covers the basics of stagecraft, from understanding stage directions and memorizing lines to listening and responding truthfully to their scene partners. Set in a playful and encouraging atmosphere, this class helps budding performers channel their creativity and boundless energy into focused storytelling. Students will build essential life skills like teamwork, quick thinking, and self-confidence while making new friends and having a blast. Throughout the semester, the ensemble will rehearse and polish group scenes and acting exercises, culminating in an entertaining class showcase to be shared with family and friends on the final day. Whether your student is stepping into the spotlight for the very first time or already loves putting on living room performances, this class is the perfect place to grow their theatrical talents!
