About this event
Take your acting to the next level! The Actor’s Process is designed for young performers who are ready to engage with the craft of acting in a fun and supportive environment. In this class, students will explore some of the techniques actors use to bring characters and stories to life on stage. Through exercises, scene work, and rehearsal, students will learn how to analyze a script, understand a character’s objectives and motivations, make strong acting choices, memorize lines effectively, and listen and respond truthfully to scene partners while learning rehearsal etiquette and performance preparation. In this playful, imaginative, and encouraging class, students will begin developing a deeper understanding of what makes acting feel believable, connected, and compelling. Over the semester, students will rehearse scenes to be presented to family and friends during a final showcase on the last day of class. This class is perfect for both newer performers and experienced young actors looking to strengthen their acting technique.
