This course establishes the foundational skills necessary for effective defensive shotgun use. Students will develop proper stance, recoil management, pattern accountability, sighting methods, and efficient weapon handling—creating a structured and repeatable approach to shotgun performance. Beyond core marksmanship, students will work on loading techniques (emergency and proactive), ammunition management considerations, malfunction clearing, movement, and multiple target engagement. Structured drills will reinforce recoil control, smooth manipulation, and efficient transitions between tasks under time pressure. Emphasis is placed on control, safety, and accountability with every round fired.
