This foundational rifle course establishes the core mechanics required for effective defensive rifle employment. Students will develop proper stance, recoil management, optic/sight tracking, trigger discipline, and efficient weapon presentation—building a repeatable performance process rooted in accountability and control. In addition to marksmanship fundamentals, this course covers speed reloads, malfunction identification and clearing, positional shooting, movement, and multiple target engagement. Shooters will refine recoil control, improve target transitions, and develop greater efficiency in rifle manipulation through structured, performance-based drills. Emphasis is placed on accuracy under time constraints, safe weapon handling, and building a solid operational baseline.
