This Year's theme is Birds Connect Our World. Join us to learn more about the importance of stopover locations on a bird's migration journey. Many birds need multiple ecosystems for wintering areas, feeding areas, and breeding areas. Fortunately, McHenry County Conservation District and Hackmatack National Wildlife Refuge provide those habitats.

Celebrate World Migratory Bird Day with activities, crafts, lessons, and more!! Join us for a bird hike at 8:00am. the rest of the activities will be available 9:00am-12:00pm. Free! All Ages! Brought to you by the Friends of Hackmatack National Wildlife Refuge, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and the McHenry County Conservation District.

This is a free special event and registration is not required. Children ages 13 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

Check Before You Go: It may be necessary to cancel events due to weather or other unforeseen reasons. Last minute cancellations will be posted on the home page of the District's website at www.mccdistrict.org and the program description online will be designated as cancelled.
