About this event
Description
Volunteer bird enthusiast Dave Miller and an Education staff member will lead this approximately 2-mile evening hike through the oak-hickory woodlands. Listen and catch a glimpse of the birds that are passing through on their migration, and search for those that stay as summer or year-round residents while we count and record the number of species found. Bring binoculars and field guides if you have them, otherwise these supplies will be available to borrow.
Please note that we will refrain from relying solely on Bird ID Apps, and will be learning how to ensure proper identification in the field as part of this program.
