Description
Learn painting techniques using the wonderful, forgiving and versatile medium of acrylic paint. Through instructor led demonstrations you’ll be shown a variety of ways to apply paint including sgraffito, sponging, stenciling, layering, wet-in-wet, and the use of gels, and pastes. Participants will apply these painting techniques to their canvas panel to create a sample board to take home to use in future paintings.

Supplies to bring: Any brand of heavy body acrylic paint. They come in tubes. Bring at least three colors; a light, medium and dark such as light blue or green, medium blue or green, dark blue or green or red, orange, yellow. Two white canvas boards 12"x16" (not stretched canvas), 1" synthetic stiff bristle brush with a short handle, small plastic stencil, palette: paper plates or any palette you already have, wide mouth water container, pencil, eraser, ruler, black felt tip pen. Optional: apron, palette knife, any other brushes you already have, drinking water.
