Science Olympiad INTEREST Registration Willows Preparatory School is exploring a competitive Science Olympiad team for students in grades 6–9 to compete in the Washington State Science Olympiad competition. A full team requires 15 students, and we will maintain a waitlist to determine whether there is enough interest to form an additional team. The program will begin as soon as possible and continue through March, with the possibility of extending into April. Practices will likely be held on Mondays and Tuesdays from 3:30–5:30 p.m. The estimated cost is $475 per month, based on a full team of 15 students. This cost would include a specialized Science Olympiad lead coach and two event-specialist instructors who will support students as they prepare for the competition’s 23 events. Because this is a competitive program, consistent attendance, preparation, and commitment are essential. Students and families should be prepared to participate regularly and follow through on assigned responsibilities so the team can remain competitive and accountable.
