France is the most visited country in the world and has attracted and produced some of the greatest minds in modern history. In this camp we will explore France from the classroom to find out why this country and culture is so attractive. The camp will weave in language, history, art, architecture, literature, and food with hands on activities and games. Students will spend the week learning about French artists and creating their own art, making/decorating and eating some delicious French foods, building a French monument, making soap, learning basic cultural etiquette, discover interesting and strange historical facts, and learning and practicing a little French related to the activities. Students will return home with a French Camp Book that they put together during the week and if the family is lucky maybe even a taste of some French goodies. Assuming we don’t eat them all in the camp.
