Description

"I yam what I yam," says this humble tuber. Join us for this free program on November 18 at 10 a.m. to learn the truth about yams and listen to the Ashanti legend Talk, Talk about a talking yam. An activity is included and the program is recommended for ages 5 and up. Registration is required for participating children, and all kids must have a supervising adult(s).

This program will take place indoors in a climate-controlled space, with a short walk along a paved brick path between the park's visitor center and program space.

Upon arrival, participants should check in with park staff in the Farm History Center (our visitors center building). Please let us know in advance if you or anyone in your group requires accessibility modifications/ADA accommodations. As a courtesy to other participants, the waitlist and the instructor, if you find you have a change in plans and can no longer attend, please email oakview@wake.gov or call 919-250-1013.
