Book a school skate at the Port Coquitlam Community Centre, fee includes one hour of private ice, skates and helmets, use of 30 skating aids, and one on-ice staff.

Use of hockey sticks and nets optional, option to request upon registering.
The streamlined registration process enables school staff to select a preset day and time, confirm number of participants and then pay by credit card, invoices not provided.
Tips:

• Come skating with your buddy class or different grades
  - helps maximize rental inventory
• Participants are inclusive of students, teachers, SEAs and parents
• One teacher or designated parent minimum must be on-ice
• All participants are to wear skates and helmets
• Wheelchairs permitted on ice, helmet required
• Alternative equipment options available for students with sensory concerns.

Participant and Fee Information:

• 31 to 75 participants
  - $200 Monday
  - $300 Tuesday to Friday
• 76 to 100 participants
  - $75 additional fee Monday to Friday
  - no exception due to rental inventory and staffing
• 30 or less participants
  - email skating@portcoquitlam.ca to request discounted fee
  - $225 Tuesday to Friday

Online Bookings:

• Bookings accepted up to one week in advance
• Sign in or set up an Active Net account
• Search School Skate to select a date and time
• Confirm participants and add quantity to base fee if applicable
• Pay online via credit card to complete booking
• Cancellations can be made:
  - online (min 2 days' notice required)
  - by phone at 604.927.PLAY (7529)
  - by email recreation@portcoquitlam.ca.

Arrival Information:

• Arrive 30 minutes prior to your ice time and sit in arena lobby
  - Attendant greets students
  - Safety and equipment knowledge shared first
  - Equipment obtained second
• Park underground with access off Mary Hill Road and Kingsway Ave
• Buses can park off Kelly and Kingsway Ave
• Proceed directly to Arena Lobby, access off east side of parkaide
• Teachers report to Skate Shop to receive next steps

Safety Information:

• Helmets required
• Shorts and bike helmets not permitted
• Personal use of skates and helmets welcome, fee remains the same
• Gloves recommended
• Use of skating aids for new skaters only.
