For Week 3 of our EPIC Day Camp we are traveling back in time to visit Dinosaurs! Campers will spend the week learning how to uncover fossils, identifying various types of dinosaurs, assembling dinosaur bones and discovering what the world looked like millions of years ago. Campers will even get to touch real dinosaur bones thanks to our friends at the Wagner Free Institute of Science. GFS’s Day Camp is a 5-week camp designed for children to Explore, Play, Imagine, Create! Every day, campers discover and cultivate their interests, learn new and exciting things through reading and experience, engage in the community surrounding Germantown Friends School, and foster new friendships during the summer. Campers will enjoy different activities in art, science, music, and drama ensuring non-stop excitement and fun. Each week we'll also explore our community through nature walks, scavenger hunts, and visits with the librarians at our Friends Free Library. Each camp group will have time at our infamous water slide or, weather permitting, daily trips to Germantown Cricket Club for swimming! Campers are grouped by age and are paired with experienced, CPR and First-Aid certified camp staff. Please note: -Lunch is included for this camp. A menu will be shared as camp approaches. -Campers who live in Center City, can opt-in to a daily shuttle that will take them to the Main Campus in Germantown for our Day Camp for an additional fee. The shuttle is chaperoned by camp staff.
