Prepare for a career in community association management with Gulf Coast State College’s Florida Community Association Manager (CAM) Pre-Licensure Course. This course provides the required pre-licensure education for individuals seeking to become licensed Community Association Managers in Florida. Now offered both in person and online, the course provides the flexibility to choose the learning format that works best for you while receiving the same comprehensive instruction. Participants will gain an understanding of Florida CAM licensing requirements, the responsibilities of community association managers, professional standards of conduct, and the laws and practices involved in managing community associations. A Florida CAM license is required for individuals who receive compensation for qualifying community association management services when the association or associations served contain more than 10 units or have an annual budget or budgets exceeding $100,000. Course topics include: State and federal laws governing community associations Governing documents and laws related to corporations and nonprofit corporations Procedures for noticing and conducting community association meetings Preparation of community association budgets and financial management Insurance matters related to community associations Community association management and maintenance CAM responsibilities and professional standards of conduct Course Materials: Two textbooks and one workbook are included with registration. Whether you choose to participate in person or online, this course provides the education and foundational knowledge needed to take the next steps toward earning your Florida CAM license.
