Description

Step inside one of Illinois' most fascinating landmarks on this guided tour of the Old Joliet Prison. Opened in 1858 and closed in 2002, the prison housed thousands of inmates over nearly 150 years and has become well known for its striking architecture, rich history, hauntings, and appearances in movies and television. During our private guided tour, we'll explore both the interior and exterior grounds while learning about prison life, famous inmates, and more; so comfortable shoes and weather-appropriate clothing are required. We'll stop for lunch together afterwards, but pay is on your own.
