Unlock the door to the underwater world with the Open Water Scuba Diver certification, your first step into scuba diving freedom. Learn online at your own pace, develop skills in the pool, and experience the thrill of open-water dives as you earn a passport to dive the globe.

1. Knowledge Development: This covers the principles, concepts, and terms you need to know for dive safety and enjoyment. This portion of the course will be completed virtually. The instructor will contact each student to schedule a time to meet. Students will also be fitted for scuba gear during this time.

2. Confined Water Dives: Students will learn and practice scuba skills in a pool. The pool session(s) will be Saturday, April 11, 2026 | 12:30-5 pm & Sunday, April 12, 2026 | 10 am - 3 pm at Marie Kerr Park Pool

3. Open Water Dives: This will complete your training in this course in a two-day ocean setting. One day will have three dives from a boat at one local island. The second day will be at a beach where you will learn beach diving techniques. The beach days are typically 4 hours, and the boat dive is an all-day session. Ocean Dive dates are tentatively April 18 & 19, 2026. The instructor will confirm these dates with the class.
