Unwrapping Music: Technological Innovation Musical Creation
In this class we will be looking at how new developments in instrument mechanics, recording technology and computers affected musical composition. From the invention of the scale to the invention of the saxophone, from the particular capabilities of the piano to the particular capabilities of AI, we will examine how musical creation makes use of technological innovation.
