Grade 5 ballet dancers must take two ballet classes each week, although a third class is strongly encouraged. Dancers at this level will continue work from the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) syllabus. The focus of this class is on developing classical technique, proficiency in the Grade 5 syllabus work, and continuing pointe work. Students may participate in optional spring examinations. French terminology is continued. Grade 5 Dress Code Girls: Class leotard, no skirts, ballet pink or flesh tone tights and ballet shoes. Boys: White T-shirt black dance tights, black ballet shoes, and white socks.
