Description
In this hands-on, one-session workshop, you’ll create a unique glass piece inspired by flowers and nature. Participants will press fresh flowers (either brought from home or provided) into specially shaped clay forms to capture beautiful, realistic textures. These designs will then be used to create high-temperature plaster molds. Once the clay is removed, you’ll paint the inside of the mold with fine particles of colored glass to bring your design to life. All materials, tools, and supplies are included, making this a beginner-friendly class—no prior experience required. Please wear closed-toe shoes and long pants for safety. Finished pieces will be kiln-fired after the workshop and will be available for pickup at the Olympia Center in downtown Olympia once firing is complete. This class is great for families! Participants ages 7 and up are welcome to register. Children under 14 must be accompanied by a participating adult. Instructor: Glass Studios US
