About this event
Those who provide care for others have additional responsibilities and considerations during times of disaster. While disasters affect everyone, caregivers must prepare both themselves and the ones they care for, and, as we experience more frequent and extreme weather events, it is more important than ever to be prepared! Learn to build a care team, document your loved one's everyday needs, make a plan, and stay connected in the event of a disaster. Please let us know if you will be attending live session or via Microsoft Teams. The American Red Cross helps people during emergencies, but part of their mission is to also help you help yourself! Becoming “Red Cross Ready” for an emergency means following simple steps in advance to ensure you can weather a crisis safely. Being prepared may not prevent a disaster, but it will give you confidence to meet the challenge.
