Building on the foundational knowledge learned in Level 1, we will use the collage papers we created, the techniques learned, and found objects of your choosing to create a finished mixed media abstract collage painting. Taking a fun spin on this, we will choose a word to create a painting that draws from your own identity and will be a direct reflection of yourself. Required: Sketchbook (optional canvas or wood board for final piece, should you choose to not use paper), and found objects you would like to use to make marks on your art piece. Chelsea Johnson is a mixed media artist who identifies as mixed race. She has been an artist her whole life who began teaching workshops about five years ago. She is working to expand her business and share her craft to the community and currently works in a school and enjoys teaching her craft.
