Course focuses on identity and a dive into oneself through collage, painting, and mixed media. Use different materials and found objects to explore mark-making, composition, color, and texture to create an abstract painting specific to you! Course is designed to let go of perfection and expectation by exploring simple techniques and enjoying the beauty of abstract art. Required: Sketchbook and any found objects you would like to use to make marks on your art piece. Those could be kitchen supplies, sticks, fabric, stencil, and more. Chelsea Johnson is a mixed media artist who identifies as mixed race. She has been an artist her whole life who began teaching workshops about five years ago. She is working to expand her business and share her craft to the community and currently works in a school and enjoys teaching her craft.
