Designed for new knitters and those coming back to it after time away, as well as for those who may want to solidify their skills in a class environment. Learn the basics: how to cast on, knit, purl, and bind off, and how to recognize stitches. Nancy will have a few free, basic patterns, yarn, and needles to get you started for in-class use. Students are welcome to bring in projects they may have started, for guidance, in addition to instructor-provided projects. Please bring knitting needles, yarn, a pattern, and knitting markers. Nancy Miller is an expert knitter, pattern designer, and spinner of yarn. She has worked in several local yarn shops, knit samples for Maine designers, and has had several knitting patterns published.
