Rug Braiding 1 for Beginners In this class you will learn to braid and make a 24" by 36" oval rug, which will help your braiding and lacing skills. If you do not have your own wool to use, the instructor will have a variety of wool fabric kits. The kit will include a minimum of three pounds of wool and cost $25. Additional supplies will be discussed during the first class and your instructor will have samples for you to try out. For the second week you will need sharp fabric scissors, a braiding clamp, a lacing needle, lacing twine and spool or light and dark Heavy Dual Duty thread with a needle with a large eye to use with the thread.
