Catholic Central Sim Racing Camp June 23-24-25 | 12 PM – 2 PM | Detroit Catholic Central Get behind the wheel and experience the fast-growing world of competitive sim racing at Catholic Central. This three-day camp is designed for students of all skill levels, whether you’re brand new to racing sims or looking to sharpen your racecraft. Campers will train on CC’s state-of-the-art racing simulators, learning the fundamentals of driving, racing lines, and competitive strategy in a fun, structured environment. Each day builds on the last, combining instruction with hands-on track time to help drivers improve quickly and confidently. What to Expect Day 1: Getting Started Camp begins with a full introduction to the simulators and equipment. Students will learn how everything works, from logging into the system to proper setup and racing etiquette. After the walkthrough, campers will jump into test sessions to get comfortable behind the wheel and ask questions in real time. Day 2: Racing Fundamentals Drivers will learn the basics of racing lines using tracks like Lime Rock and Okayama. Instruction will cover apexing, corner entry and exit, and how to carry speed efficiently through a lap. Day 3: Racecraft & Competition The final day focuses on race situations, including safe and effective passing techniques. Campers will participate in structured drills and side-by-side racing scenarios before finishing with a fun, open session where they can race, practice, and compete with friends.
