If you have never learned how to cook, this series of three classes guides you step by step and fills in the gaps. Practice seasoning and flavor building every step of the way so you can cook with ease without relying on recipes. Most of all, you will reconnect with the joy of cooking, so it feels welcoming and satisfying and you leave eager to keep going. The series includes the following three classes. Knife Skills Begin with the basics! In this class, you’ll learn how to utilize a chef’s knife efficiently and effectively. You’ll then build your knife skills by learning how to prepare a variety of vegetables. Preparing Proteins Continue your intuitive cooking culinary journey by learning how to handle a variety of proteins. Learn how to apply different cooking methods such as roasting, sauteing, searing and poaching to prepare proteins and vegetables. Cooking Complete Meals Bring your new skills together by creating complete meals in this final class. You’ll learn how to evaluate flavor balance by tasting and adjusting seasoning with salt, acid, fat and aromatics. You’ll also apply intuitive decision-making to build balanced meals without relying on recipes.
