About this event
Description Join us for a fun exploration of painting the human figure in oil. To give ourselves less pressure than painting a model from life, we will work from full-colour high-resolution photo references, supplied by the instructor for you to keep. Thankfully, there are many ways to make complex subject matter like the human figure easier to paint. With the right mindset of the alla prima (Italian for at first attempt) “oil sketch”, we can make it possible to finish an entire figure painting over two 3-hour sessions. This two-day workshop is open to anyone with oil painting experience from very little to advanced. Supply List Canvas: 14” x 18” (using the full surface) or 16” x 20” (cut in 1-inch border).
