This Brand Ambassador Materials Workshop is a hands-on workshop for artists of all levels and experience from beginner to professional. Along with the instructor, this guided workshop is a learning experience where participants have the opportunity to experiment with many different materials. The Oil Workshop will focus on several types of oil paint, including Holbein’s Traditional Oil Color, Water Soluble Oil Color, and Vernet Superior Oil Color, as well as Holbein’s Linseed Oil. Participants will also experiment with Legion’s 100% cotton Stonehenge Oil paper, Yupo White paper, and an assortment of General Pencil material Instructor: Danielle Caners is a French-Canadian visual artist, globally recognized for her meticulous paintings and drawings. From an early age, her artistic path was clear—by seven, she was winning child art competitions, and by eleven, selling her first works. Over time, her practice has expanded into a wide range of mediums, including traditional painting (gouache, acrylic, egg tempera, and oils), digital art, augmented reality and animation, collage, sculpture, jewellry and alternative forms of storytelling. Past projects include Myco Wisdom, an art and education initiative exploring the world of fungi; Prosthetic Reality, the world’s first augmented reality art book; and The Antipodes Project, a collaborative drawing featuring over thirty international artists. Her work has been exhibited across four continents and is collected worldwide. She has shown with SaveArtSpace for Miami Art Basel, as well as in galleries throughout Canada, the United States, Australia, the Leeds City Museum in the United Kingdom and Leonora Carrington Museum in Mexico. Danielle has also been featured at festivals across North America, Costa Rica, Portugal, and Hungary, and has collaborated on fundraising initiatives with organizations such as the Fungi Foundation in Chile and Wildlife Haven in Manitoba.
