Description

Start your hike at Roslyn Landing in Colonial Heights then walk along the paved Appomattox River Trail System that shadows the Appomattox River. Enjoy the riparian habitat and discover the old Atlantic Coast Line Railroad and the diversion channel. Continue across the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Bridge, and then walk into downtown Petersburg for lunch. After lunch, return along the same route. This is a very easy 4-mile hike.
