Join the Rockwood Nature Center environmental educators for a moth survey! As the sun sets, the night comes alive with our amazing nocturnal neighbors, the moths. Educators will set up a spotlight and a white sheet to allow moths to fly over to the light and have a safe space to be observed. We will discuss topics such as different moth species, moth importance, and the differences between butterflies and moths. Bring your friends and family for some moth madness!

The program will take place at the outdoor amphitheater next to Rockwood Nature Center. The outdoor amphitheater is the area with the wooden speaker podium and wooden benches, close to the archery range.
Program information:

• Program is held outdoors.
• Guardians are required to accompany participants, no drop-offs.
• Closed-toe shoes are required.
• Bringing layers of clothing (jackets, hoodies, beanies, etc) is recommended.
• Area is wheelchair accessible with both paved and dirt walking paths.
• This program includes visual and tactile elements.
